There was a launch of an artists’ collaboration living shop 'Studio Davo'. 

 

Studio Davo is a lifestyle living shop where works of locally and globally promising artists are reinterpreted into valuable goods that enable consumers to relate to and communicate with each other based on the leading keynote 'an attempt to realize eternity of art and art of everyday life’.

 

The term 'Davo' is a combination of 'Da’(多; Chinese character for ‘many’)’ meaning various artists with a variety of different talents and 'Bo’(寶; Chinese character for ‘treasure’) symbolizing their precious value like a jewel.

 

Ji-Hyun Yoon, CEO of Studio Davo, stated that the purpose of launching this platform was to constantly discover and seek for touch points between art and lifestyle derived from modern society through a wide range of products produced based on the works of promising artists in Korea and abroad, and through this, to provide high-value opportunities for both the artists and the consumers.

 

The artists in collaboration with Studio Davo will get another opportunity to promote their works of art and have a chance to communicate with consumers.

 

Products are produced by the design team of Studio Davo with long industry expertise. The team has brought out some products such as carpets and blankets and are gradually expanding participating artists and product lineups.

 

Studio Davo design team sets the greatest store by the inspiration of the artists and plans and produces the products aimed at expressing their works of art to be more valuable. Production process involves receiving artwork from an artist, planning directivity and theme of a product, and manufacturing the product through a proven contractor for the production of the high-quality product.

 

Studio Davo supports artists' successful industry activities with its system that pays royalties to the participating artists for the portion of sales of their artwork.
